First, click on whichever section (something with red writing on a white background) seems right for your shiny new post.
The screen will change, and whatever you clicked on will now have white writing on a red background. On the right hand side of that red heading it will say "Create thread". Click on that.
The next screen will have "Subject:" and an empty text box near the top on the left. Try to have a short but clear subject line so people who want to engage with your thread can immediately see it's interesting to them.
Then blather on however you wish in the larger text box.
Click on the grey "Create thread" button at the bottom to make it live.
The other useful buttons are "Add Poll" and "Add Attachment" buttons at the top right (pictures will display automatically, but at this stage you can only attach very small files*), and the "Preview" button at the bottom left.
*This may change during the Kickstarter Campaign.
To reply to a post the process is similar, except it begins with you reading the post (by clicking on it) and then there is a text box that automatically appears under the thread. You can type directly into there and then click on the grey "Post Quick Reply" button.
