Hi Felicity,
My daughter and I met you at the steampunk weekend in Nimmitabel last month. We purchased the mailout version of Murder in the mail for her but when trying to register for the mailing list today, it says you must be at least 13. She is not quite 11. I have read everything I can on the website to help me decide whether there are likely to be issues arise with her (re access to information) that I'm not comfortable with (she is allowed to access the iPad when we are in the room). Having said all of this, she is a mature kid (she has an older -adult- brother and sister) and is definitely more 'teenager' than 10-year-old. She also has far more inclination to the murder-mystery concept than magic - just that kinda gal I guess! Please let me know your thoughts. You can email me directly on admin@moontreetrading.com.au - thanks,
Anne

I'll email you right away.
I do recommend this story for kids. The only bad thing that happens is... well, the murder! There is some peril for various characters along the way but it's unlikely to scare anyone who likes crime. There is also a reference to a male and female character having some "private time" (I forget the exact phrase) and at another point in the story there is an unexpected pregnancy (abortion is never discussed in the story). It's also LGBTIQA+ friendly, like most of my stories. One of the clues is some loose-leaf tobacco.
