I love this concept so much! I spread out in front of the file with my envelope and took a long look at everything. The cat, Socrates, sat on top of Drew's letter, but I managed to squeeze it free. Thoughts - I love that they are all artists. Drew's definitely a guy because his handwriting is like hieroglyphs. At first I wasn't sure what age they were but then I figured out they were at uni. Right now I think it's the mother, Adele, but I'm sure I'll change my mind.

LOL!! Drew's handwriting was done by more long-suffering husband, Chris. In most cases the author did their own handwriting, but I did the handwriting for Phil Hore (aka Adelle) because Phil Hore has TERRIBLE writing. I thought it'd be cool to have a man write for Drew.

I love how the handwriting itself tells some of the story! Size of words, underlines, messy words, the present tense corrected to past tense ... did you give Chris creative licence or was it sternly prescribed? Not terribly certain this is the best thread to continue this conversation on ... my apologies but I can't think of a better way to do it

"My thought" sounds like the perfect topic.
Yes, I gave Chris creative licence (...some). We talked about it along the way, too—he made several editorial corrections (nothing like hand writing something to make you notice every word).
