This is the very first non-automated message in this shiny new forum.
My name is Felicity Banks and the "A Bloody Birthday" story came from my own crazed imagination combined with a search for beautiful art with details that I felt could become vital to the plot of a cozy mystery tale. A lot of the character details came from the individual writers and artists.
I have two children, aged 3 (TJ) and 6 (Louisette), plus a cat and a husband (I list these members of my household in no particular order).
I write full-time. Right now I'm working on the conclusion to my Aussie steampunk fantasy trilogy (the first books are "Heart of Brass" and "Silver and Stone"), as well as several interactive fiction stories.
The first book in my tween pirate fantasy books (like Narnia, but with pirates) is "The Monster Apprentice", which will be released in February 2018 and illustrated by Tash Turgoose.
I love the books of Garth Nix, Pamela Freeman, Sandy Fussell, Scott Westerfeld (especially his steampunk trilogy), Gail Carriger (including her erotic stuff), and of course my fellow Odyssey authors.

Hello, all!
I'm Julian Barr and I am really proud to have contributed to "A Bloody Birthday" as an author.
I normally write historical fantasy. Currently I'm working on "Ashes of Olympus," YA trilogy based on Greek mythology, in which a band of refugees must face the wrath of the gods to find a way home.
I live in Brisbane with my wife and two kids.
My favourite authors include Ursula K le Guin, Tolkien and Philip Pullman.
Looking forward to connecting with everybody, and I hope you enjoy "A Bloody Birthday."
Cheers!

Hello, I'm Naomi, engineering student by day, engineering student by night, and writer when my brain doesn't feel like it has been pushed through a sieve. I just received my first package today and am so excited to meet the characters and start piecing the puzzle together! However there are also only 2 days until my first major exam for this semester so I'm trying to ignore the puppy dog eyes I can feel on my back from that manilla folder ... obviously unsuccessfully because I am now on this forum.
A few of my favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, Jane Austen, Brent Weeks and C. S. Lewis.
